As far as I am aware, yes, the same would apply to Disneyland just a different PR contact. I would just google ” Disneyland PR email” and you should find their media policy for that park.
Annie it is very hard to get invited to anything at Disneyland. We have a lot of vloggers and bloggers in the area that are invited to most of the media events and I have not heard of anyone new being invited. I cannot do much of anything because my son is a cast member and my husband is an operating partner. Families members of cast members cannot join the few things available to bloggers and vloggers here. Your best bet is to apply to the Disney Parks Moms Panels. You can contact the PR department but it does not pan out for a lot of people. If you have a lot of social media followers 10k+ make sure that you point that out in your email. The last year or so it seems like they have focused more on Youtubers and inviting more Foodie Influencers to events.
Oh wow I had no idea Disneyland was so much more difficult than Disney World. Here in Orlando, it is extremely simple to get invited to the events and I have never heard of anyone getting turned down for the PR media day passes. I have heard that Disneyland Paris is not hard to work with either, so if you are ever over there that may be an option as well.

What’s the best approach that you have used?
For Disney I did send them an idea for a pitch. They state on their website that they compensate up to 2 one day park hoppers, so there wasn’t much as far as asking for compensation. I did have to send them a media kit though.

The initial contact I had with them was pitching them an idea for a post and requesting the media tickets. They tend to give you 2 one day park hopper passes. You will have to send them a media kit, along with your idea for a post or video that you plan to create.

Well, maybe I am the first Disney blogger to be denied Disney World media tickets. So bummed and disappointed!
I am a new travel blogger – I think I have 29 posts with half of them being Disney related. I sent them my scanned business card (I already had those) and created a media kit in Canva. I also highlighted the fact that I have several Disney blog posts on Google page 1 and I listed 4 new posts that I intend to write after my upcoming trip.
Unfortunately, I think it’s my following (lack thereof) that led to the rejection. As of now, I have 4400 mpv (which was 10 in January). I just started Pinterest in March and have 300 followers. I did list both of those numbers on my media kit.
The reply stated that I should work on my social media numbers. 🙁
Don’t let it get you down! Many people get told “no” before they get a “yes”. Keep working on your content, and try again! I have been told no by so many companies, and then months later, I end up working with them after I work on content and keep growing. We all hear NO many more times than we hear yes, but please don’t let it discourage you!

I would love to cover more events or be invited to more exclusive ones (like after hours events etc) but I already pay for my AP. Like you said, you received offers after submitting to their PR so I’m curious what your suggestion would be?
A few of the girls I know are passholders as well. I would say to reach out and let them know that you are an AP but want to work with them and cover events. You can even reach out for media tickets where you take a friend who doesn’t have a pass and then create content about that.
