A recent new favorite of ours is these sweet and tangy meatballs. Not only is it easy to make, but this dish is also an all-occasion favorite… Perfect for weeknight family dinners or potluck events. Make this in no time with a Dutch oven, or cook it low and slow inyour favorite slow-cooker. 

Sweet and tangy meatballs can be eaten alone, put on a meatball sub, or even made into a delicious baked dish! The versatility of this recipe is my absolute favorite.

This is probably one of the easiest recipes to make. It is conveniently simple and exceedingly delicious! When I make it, the kids tend to sit around the table ready to eat just asking constantly, “when will dinner be done?”.

How to Make Sweet and Tangy Meatballs

With only three ingredients, it should be apparent that this is a recipe that is very easy to recreate. 

Simply start by browning your Carando Meatballs. This should take about 5-10 minutes. 

Then add in about 1 cup of grape jelly and 1 cup of BBQ sauce.  Simmer covered, for about 5-10 minutes stirring frequently. 

Now all that is left is to enjoy your meal with family and friends! Eat them on a bun, enjoy them by themselves, or create some other unique dish with these delicious sweet and tangy meatballs!

Ingredients

  • 1 tray Caranado Meatballs
  • 1 cup Grape Jelly
  • 1 cup BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  1. Brown the meatballs for 5-10 minutes over medium heat.

  2. Add in BBQ and Grape Jelly and stir to combine.

  3. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover and let simmer 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently.

  4. Remove from heat and enjoy!

Is there any way you can put the meatballs in a crock pot without browning them, add the grape jelly and the barbecue sauce, turn it on low for a couple hours and they'd be good to go?

You can totally do that. I only brown them because I like the crust it gives them, but I have done them without it as well and they are still good.
