No Space For A Wardrobe? Try These Ideas Instead!

Unfortunately, some of us can have bedrooms that aren’t quite as big as we’d hoped. Whether this is the master bedroom or your child’s bedroom, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that there’s limited space, meaning you don’t have enough room for what some consider an essential piece of furniture: a wardrobe.

Without a wardrobe, you have nowhere to store your clothes. As luck would have it, there are some great alternatives you can use to help you keep everything neat and tidy without taking up too much space.

No Space For A Wardrobe Try These Ideas Instead!

A chest of drawers

If there’s no room for a wardrobe, there might be room for some drawers in your bedroom. Simply shop chest of drawers that are small enough to fit next to your bed or against a wall. Ensure there are at least two drawers, possibly more. Now, you can fold up your clothes and keep them in these drawers. It’s a very simple solution, but you can give your homes a safe place without taking up most of the space in your bedroom.

A clothing rack

Clothing racks have genuinely become very trendy and popular. You can find them in stores like IKEA, but they are widely available on the internet as well. The idea is that you have an open rack to hang your clothes on. It should give you enough space to hang things that maybe can’t be folded up and put into drawers.

Additionally, having a rack can mean you can hang some special clothes storage boxes from the railing. You can find these boxes made from a canvas material that hangs there and provide extra storage space for clothes. Now, you can hang up shirts, but also have room to fold away tops, socks, pants, jeans, etc.

Space For A Wardrobe

Storage boxes

Alternatively, you can get a selection of different storage boxes to keep your clothes in. The benefit of this idea is that you can stack the boxes on top of one another and make them fit all around your room. There can be some in one corner, some in another, and so on.

Again, you can use these alongside a clothing rack, enabling you to hang things up if necessary. Or, there’s nothing wrong with folding all of your clothes and putting them in storage boxes. All you need to do is iron them or hang them up somewhere the night before you want to wear them.

Speaking of hanging things up, you could consider installing a railing on your bedroom wall. This will basically look like an extra curtain rail, but you use it to hang things on. Think of this as a bonus tip for anyone that doesn’t mind putting some extra nails in their bedroom wall.

No Space For A Wardrobe

All of these ideas are excellent alternatives if you don’t have enough space for a wardrobe in your bedroom. In fact, even if you do have enough space, you could use these ideas to make your room feel much bigger. Wardrobes take up a lot of floor space, making your room feel cramped when they’re in place. So, it might actually be better to consider these alternatives. Of course, the decision is all yours.
