A pinch of cinnamon

You can either add a half teaspoon of ground cinnamon direct toy or cup or slowly simmer some cinnamon bark in hot water, and then use that to make your coffee with, and it will add a sweet, spicy flavor that will wake you up and help to balance your blood sugar for the day ahead.

Cardomom is a distinctive spice that is most often used in Turkish coffee. It’s perfect if you’re looking to add a unique floral,. Slightly spicy flavor to your coffee. The best way to incorporate cardamom is to crush a pod or two and add them to the pot while you heat the water for your coffee, but you can add a little of the crushed spice direct to your hot cup of coffee too – just go sparingly.

If you really want to give your morning coffee a kick, add a generous tablespoon of chili hot chocolate to the cup and stir vigorously. Many people think that chai-spiced coffee is not for them because they’ve only ever tried commercially available brands, which tend to be way too sweet, but homemade chai is a whole different kettle of fish. It’s fresh, warming, and has a real kick to it. You can make your own masala chai by simmering green cardamom pods, star anise, cinnamon, and some grated fresh ginger root. You may need to play around with the quantities to find your perfect mix, but it will be worth it because, as quell as tasting divine, it will make your whole home smell amazing!

Sure, coconut oil may not be a spice, but it can really liven up your morning coffee with its unique nutty, almost floral flavor, and it will also, due to its high healthy fat content, really set you up for the day. Just make sure you stir thoroughly before you drink so that the oil is evenly distributed.
