What better way to celebrate life’s little moments than to make some warm and gooey peanut butter chocolate chip cookies?!? While I am not opposed to store-bought cookie dough, there is just something so fun about making cookies from scratch.

Making cookies from scratch is surprisingly simple. Normally, I am not a baker. Cooking savory family-friendly meals is where I thrive, but sweets are usually more of a struggle for me. These though, are super simple!

How to Make Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

If you want to make these, there are a few ingredients you will need to pick up. I got mine from my local Walmart delivery. Groceries right to my door, there is nothing better.

  • 1-3/4 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1-1/3 Cup Peanut Butter ( I used crunchy but you can use either)
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup White Sugar
  • 1 Pinch salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Sticks Softened Butter
  • 1 Bag Chocolate Chips

Most of these, you probably have in your pantry already!

The kids and I had a great time making these. My daughter held the hand mixer while I slowly added in all of the ingredients.  I highly recommend making these with your kids, it is a lot of fun and a great way to get them involved in the kitchen.

Step by Step Cookie Making

If you are ready to make these, start by putting the butter and both sugars into a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.

I recommend an electric mixer, either a hand or stand mixer will do.

Once well combined, start mixing in your other ingredients, slowly. Mix in the peanut butter, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla.

When combined,  mix in the flour and salt. Once everything is nice and looking like cookie dough, fold in the chocolate chips.

Allow the dough to sit in the freezer while your oven pre-heats to 350°.

Roll the cold cookie dough into balls and place them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Bake for 15-17 minutes! Allow to cool and enjoy!
