Quick, easy, and tasty. That is how I like my recipes. When I am looking for a recipe, especially a side dish, I want something I can cook in 10 minutes or less!

The other day I made some sweet and sour chicken, served over rice noodles but was lost as to what veggie to serve with it.  So I rummaged through my refrigerator and found a hear of broccoli.

Determined to make it work, I pulled out some Asian sauces and spices I had in my pantry, threw it all together, and tossed it all into my Ninja Air Fryer

Y’all, this thrown together super simple side dish turned out amazing! Crispy and flavorful with just the right amount of crunch! Asian broccoli in the air fryer may just be my new go-to side for weeknight dinners now!

This is that recipe. The one that you go to when you need something quick and healthy. Something the kids will eat, but the adults will still love.

Air fryer recipes are my absolute favorite lately, and this crispy air fryer broccoli is no exception to my new found love of air fryer vegetable recipes.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Broccoli
  • Garlic Powder
  • Soy Sauce
  • Hoisin Sauce
  • Lime Juice
  • Sesame Seeds

Air Fryer Broccoli Recipe

Start out by cutting up your head of broccoli and placing it into a large mixing bowl.  Toss with soy sauce, hoisin, lime juice, and garlic powder. Now, I didn’t really measure these. The trick here is to just coat the raw broccoli until it is just barely wet and shiny.

When you are working with an air fryer, you don’t want a lot of excess liquid that will drip down into the bottom of the pan.

After coating with sauce, sprinkle some of the sesame seeds generously over the raw broccoli.

Preheat your air fryer to 425° for about 3 minutes. Put your broccoli into the basket, and cook for 10 minutes, stopping to stir it halfway through.

*Don’t have an air fryer? No problem! Roast your Asian broccoli on a flat pan in the oven at 425° for 20-25 minutes*

I cooked some beef and broccoli for lunch. I decided to steam the green instead of boiling it. I must try this technique too.
