How to make instant pot pulled pork

With only a few simple ingredients, you can have pulled pork ready for dinner in no time. Cooking pork, or anything really, in the Instant Pot significantly cuts down on traditional cook time.

What would have normally taken hours, takes only 45 minutes with this awesome pressure cooker.  Pulled pork usually takes forever to cook on the grill, but I am loving how quickly I can make it in my Instant Pot now!

How to Make Instant Pot Pilled Pork

Start with your favorite pork loin. I used the Smithfield smoked mesquite pork loin, but you can use whatever pork you want for this.

You will want to cube up the pork loin to start out with. This will make it easier to cook and will make sure it fits in the Instant Pot

Once it is cubed, place it in the Instant pot on “saute” mode so you can start browning the pork. You should only need to brown the meat for a few minutes, these Instant Pots cook QUICK!

After burning for a few minutes, you will want to use the regular pressure cooking setting. Start by pouring in some orange juice and using a wooden spatula to make sure you get all the browned bits off the bottom of the pot.

Next, add in the rest of your sauce. You can use whatever you want but I like to use a sweet BBQ sauce, brown sugar, and a splash of apple cider vinegar.

Cook on high for about 45 minutes. When the cooking time is done, let it sit for about 15 minutes to release the pressure slowly. After 15 minutes, you can turn the valve to allow the rest of the pressure to escape.

When you can, remove your pork from the Instant Pot with some of the sauce.

Pull apart the pork with two forks. If you think it seems too dry, you can get more sauce out of the Instant Pot.
