Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and so many of us are now in hot pursuit of the perfect gift… But do you know what mom really wants for Mother’s Day?
Most of us moms don’t need lavish gifts or expensive surprises… We are much more simple than that. Mom wants something special, something relaxing, and something completely for her.
So if you are looking for something special that any mom in your live will love… Pick up one of these simple gifts that mom will cherish for years to come.

So what does mom really want for Mother’s Day?
Mom’s work hard. No matter if they stay at home, work from home, or work outside the home… All a mom really wants, is a little recognition and appreciation, especially on Mother’s Day.
So if you are looking to show a special mom how much you appreciate her, pick her up something she will love. Something meaningful and special that will make her smile and bring some joy to her life.
Gifts don’t have to be expensive either. You don’t need to go out and buy designer bags and diamonds to make a mom happy.

Give Mom a Good Book
Before I became a mom, one of my favorite things to do was to get lost in a good book.
After having kids though, I just don’t have the time do read as much as I would like. I don’t spend my money on books as much anymore, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still love them.
Pick up a new book, or even better, a gift card to a local bookstore so she can pick something out for herself.
If she is more into electronics.. Pick her up an Amazon Fire Tablet. These are perfect for reading and she can download any book she wants right from the device. I have one, and absolutely love it.
You can’t just buy a book though, you need to go one step further. Give her a “free night” take the kids somewhere and let mom have a night alone to read her new book in peace!
If you aren’t quite sure what book to pick up.. You can check out a dear friend of mine over at Booking and Cooking for her amazing book reviews and recommendations.
One of my personal favorites lately has been An Unkindness of Magicians.
The Gift of Relaxation
Hopefully by now everyone knows how hard it is to be a mom. We give and give… Many times sacrificing our own self to take care of our families.
So you know what mom really wants for Mother’s Day? She wants to relax!
You can grab her some candles, bath salts, and other at home pampering must haves.
She would love for you to give her a gift card to a local spa so she can treat herself for a day while you keep the kids with you.
Wake up and make her breakfast in bed! Do the laundry… Clean the house… Do something unexpected that will make her life easier and let her get in a little relaxation.
Mom doesn’t want or need much… And what she does want, you can give her with ease!
The best way to think of the perfect gift.. Is to think about what she loves… And get her something that lines up with her hobbies.. For me, it is jewelry and books… For some moms it may be food, planners, or art supplies.
No matter what you get for the special mom in your life this Mother’s Day though… If you put love and thought into it, she is going to love whatever it is you get her!
