So, I need to come clean and admit that I have a problem. I am a huge Dollar Tree addict. It is almost impossible for me to enter my Dollar Tree and not come out with a cart full of items. Everything is a dollar and they typically have some surprisingly good products! Over the years I have gotten a lot of amazing products, as well as some not so good ones. There are 30 Dollar Tree must buys though. These are things that you should always be buying at the Dollar Tree, because it will save you money! I will also share with you the items to avoid completely!

My Favorite Dollar Tree Products
So those are all of the Dollar Tree must buys, but out of those, I have a few things that are my favorites.
So probably my favorite Dollar Tree find are the storage bins. They always have so many different options and a bunch of colors! I use these bins for for everything.
Dollar Tree has awesome candles. Yes, they are typically small candles, but they last a decent amount of time and they are only one dollar!
The Dollar Tree has books and hardback books at that. Many of these books have original pricing of $20 and up, but you are getting them for $1. You may need to dig to find something good, but I always enjoy the book section.
I typically stay away from food from the Dollar Tree. Usually, I can get much better deals by couponing at my local Publix but I make an exception for eggs. My Dollar Tree has 18 eggs for only $1!
Dollar Tree is perfect for crafting supplies! They have so many little things that are perfect to just keep around, especially if you have kids. googly eyes, Play Dough, finger paints, and more.
Disney Branded Items
So if you have a kid like mine, then Disney is life. Disney products are also extremely expensive, but a lot of times you can find them at the Dollar Tree. I have gotten figurines, plates, cups and more all from the Dollar Tree!
Dollar Tree is the best place to get seasonal items. Look, no one needs expensive 4th of July decorations or Easter items so why splurge when you can save? I get most of my seasonal items here and they do their job just as well as expensive decorations.
What NOT To Buy
By now my love for Dollar Tree is obvious, but there are a few things that you should just avoid! These items aren’t even worth the dollar you are going to spend and you are better off spending a little more at a different store.
- Batteries: They have little to no power and will probably last 5 minutes before they die.
- Foil Food Pans: These are so flimsy and do not hold up. Once you put food in them, they bend and spill and it just makes a mess.
- Food: Some might be a good deal, but there are better deals to be found at your local grocery store with coupons.
- Electronics: Just pass on the phone chargers and ear buds.
- Generic Bran Command Strips: If you can find the actual Command brand, then do get it but the generic ones do not stay.
- Tools: They just don’t stand up and are honestly too flimsy to do any of the work they are meant for.
- Oven Mitts: They are thin, and you will get burnt. I know this from personal experience and it is no fun! They are cute, but thin.
There you have it, 30 Dollar Tree must buys, and 7 things to avoid. If you love the Dollar Tree, leave me a comment down below because I would love to do more Dollar Tree based posts for you guys!
