DockATot: The Ultimate Co-Sleeping Solution

As I have mentioned in the past, I am a mom who co-sleeps. Personally, I find that it makes life easier and I get more sleep. See my article, Surviving the Fourth Trimester for more details.  Even though I co-sleep, I am not one to let my baby simply sleep in the bed though. Recently, I had been struggling trying to find a solution that would work for my family. I wanted something where my boy would be comfortable, but also safe. That is when I discovered the DockATot.  I fell in love the first night! Not only did baby brother sleep amazingly well, so did I and we all know that sleep is very important to moms with young children.

DockATot is the ultimate co-sleeping solution. Amazing for bed sharing as well as travel.

The DockATot Deluxe

When we first got our DockATot in, my husband said it looked like a dog bed. I was not amused, although I guess it can bear some resemblance. WE had been waiting for this baby to come in so I was super excited to try it out! That first night we put it in our bed and let out little man sleep in it. He slept for a good 4-5 hours (which is a lot for little man). I was impressed right away! It fits great in our bed between my husband and I, and it prevents little man from rolling out of it in the middle of the night. The feeling of knowing he is right there next to me for his next nursing but feeling safe with him in the bed is the best.

We have been taking the DockATot around out house with us too and letting little man nap in it wherever he lands. It usually ends up in the living room on the floor. We learned that our little man loves to have tummy time on his DockATot.

Dock A Tot Deluxe

While it is quite useful at home, it is also amazing for travel. We recently went to my father’s house and brought it with us. Our son was able to nap comfortably in his Dock A Tot while the rest of us enjoyed our family cookout. Normally there wouldn’t have been anywhere to really put him down at, so this was a God send. I can see how this would also be amazing in a hotel. WE plan on going on a vacation soon and this will for sure be coming with us!

The other great feature about the DockATot is the removable cover. babies make messes. They will spit up and poos and pee and just make a royal mess of things. I am able to easily remove the adorable cover and give it  good wash when it gets icky. They even sell extra covers that you can buy if you want to switch up your patterns or have an extra for when messes happen.

We have the Deluxe, which is for ages 0-9 months, but there is a larger version, the Grand, which is for 9-36 months. I will be getting the bigger one once little man grows out of the Deluxe.

I would highly recommend this product to any new mother! DockATot will be a go-to baby shower gift from me from now on! If you are interested in one, you can get $10 off of your purchase using this link.

I have never heard of this product before but it sounds amazing. Whenever we travel we don’t have a comfy place for our 7 month old to sleep and I feel this would be perfect!

  2. shelbbunks says:

I’m pregnant with my first, and still figuring out if I want to convert part of our office into the nursery or have baby sleep in our room. This post was definitely helpful. I pinned it, too!

  3. thefashionableaccountant says:

I co slept a bit when my son was a baby, but I also kept his bassinet right next to the bed. Something like this would have been very helpful for me!

  4. Brandi with Big Fit Fam says:

I am definitely going to have to check into this! I love co-sleeping but i get nervous….this seems perfect, hope our bed is big enough!

  5. The Everyday Mom Life says:

This looks like a fun product. We co sleep so something like this would have been nice when our son was younger.

  6. Blythe Alpern says:

I recently saw a Youtuber talking about this dock-a-tot. It does seem like a solid solution for co-sleeping or for being able to put your baby down without worrying about them rolling away.

  7. Jennifer Marx (JenuineMom) says:

I was also a co-sleeper mom and I LOVED it. I was a lifesaver in his first year. I used something different, but this looks great,

Oooo, I like this!!! I’m still nursing, and cosleeping, with my 22 month old. We just had him sleeping right in the bed with us, but now that baby #2 is on the way, I’ve decided on doing things a little differently. I absolutely love this little cosleeper, and love how baby has their designated area where they will be safe. Something I, for sure, need to look into! Thanks for sharing! <3

Oooh my cousin just got one of these and LOVES it! She was so worried about sleeping with her little one and this made her feel safe at night.

  10. Amber says:

Going to a baby shower soon and this looks like a great gift for me to bring. Even if they choose not to come sleep, it looks like it has many other uses!

  11. Chelsea | New Kid on The Blog says:

This is so useful! We’re looking into co-sleeping options right now as our daughter is due in just 6 weeks!

  12. Niki says:

This product seems very similar to what I just recently purchased for my soon to arrive little one. For my previous kids I’ve used a co-sleeper that attaches to the bed but it seems so hard and uncomfortable. I recently bought a SnuggleMe Organic baby bed but its for use under 6 months. I’ll definitely be checking out the DockATot for the later months.

  13. Marcie says:

We have this exact DockATot and we LOVE it! We used our SnuggleMe Organic (which we also LOVED) until our son was about 4 months and got too long for it. Then we switched to the DockATot and our son sleeps so well. Great product for travel, too!
